St. Louis County Circuit Court

Traffic violations on St. Louis County roads or state highways in the Florissant area go to St. Louis County Circuit Court at stlouiscountycourt.org. The 21st Judicial Circuit covers St. Louis County. Missouri State Highway Patrol citations in the area are also typically filed at the circuit court level. Check Case.net to confirm which court has your specific case before making payment or planning a visit.

Missouri Points and License Consequences

Under RSMo 302.302, traffic convictions add points to your Missouri driving record. Minor moving violations add 2 points. More serious offenses add more. Eight points in 18 months triggers a license suspension. Twelve in 12 months or 18 in 24 months results in revocation. Florissant is a busy suburb north of St. Louis with enforcement on Lindbergh Boulevard, Dunn Road, and other active routes.

Many drivers want to avoid points and seek an amendment through an attorney. The Missouri Bar has a referral service for attorneys in the St. Louis area who handle Florissant Municipal Court cases. The St. Louis Bar Association at sdlba.org is another local resource. Under RSMo 302.309, a driver improvement program can reduce points once every three years. Your current point total is available from the Missouri DOR at dor.mo.gov.

Warrants and Missed Court Dates

Missing a Florissant court date results in a warrant. The court will not clear it automatically. Call 314-921-3322 as soon as possible. You may be able to come in during payment hours to address the matter. Installment Payment Agreements may also be available if cost was a reason for missing the hearing. Acting quickly gives you more choices and keeps the situation from becoming more expensive or complicated.

An active warrant can affect your ability to renew your driver's license and vehicle registration. It may also appear on background checks used by employers and landlords. Do not let a traffic ticket warrant sit unresolved. The court's goal is compliance and resolution, not escalation, so reaching out directly tends to lead to workable outcomes.
